Woodwork and Shelving

These stables had previously been fitted with Perspex sliding windows that were now rotten, jammed and perished. The client wanted a simple cost-effective solution. I designed some replacements using a Computer Aided Design (CAD) software package. After some refinements I built the frames and ordered bespoke safety glass to fit. Installation required a lot of work to adapt the warped and irregular openings. I painted the windows and the wall to follow the traditional Cotswolds style.

The clients wanted to convert this shed from having a single door to double. I cut out an opening and strengthened above the door with a wooden lintel. I fabricated a door using batten and treated tongue and groove pine.

The threshold to this cottage was completely rotten and the concrete it was sitting on had crumbled. I formed a solid bed of concrete and firmly anchored the new threshold.
